JSC “Aeroelektromash” presents Its recent innovative developments at “HeliRussia 2019” expo.

Выставка HeliRussia 2019

The “Aeroelektromash” company took successful part in the 12th International Helicopter Industry Exhibition HeliRussia 2019 held between May 16–18 in “Crocus Expo”, Moscow.

Our enterprise has long and rightfully joined the ranks of principal participants of air shows – leader companies engaging in development of electrical equipment for aviation. Our achievements and developments draw much attention. This year the number of visitors at the stand of JSC “Aeroelektromash” has exceeded all expectations, with many mutually beneficial business meetings and negotiations held during the exhibition both with Russian and foreign companies.

Specialists in all the key areas of company’s production activity worked with partners and potential customers, new plans were devised, strategic development trends for mutually beneficial relationships discussed.

Presented at the stand were the latest innovative developments of JSC “Aeroelektromash”. For the first time the company put on display the first flight prototype of ultralight coaxial helicopter R-34. The machine has been developed under technical assignment of Moscow company “Aeroelektromash” jointly with the OKB “Rotor” design bureau from Kumertau, Republic of Bashkortostan.

R-34 has been built to essentially new, patented design of a coaxial helicopter and is the most compact, efficient, and low-noise aircraft (AC) in its class. The helicopter is equipped with a 130 hp gasoline engine Rotax 915. The AC design features hingeless suspension of blades, a composite torsion, and a parachute rescue system. The maximum flight altitude is 4.5 km, declared range – up to 600 km, maximum speed – 170 km/h.

Also at HeliRussia 2019, “Aeroelektromash” for the first time presented a full-scale prototype of electric motor ВД-25000 designed for driving aircraft airscrews. The motor is based on the converter-fed motor with permanent magnets. Its rated power is to be equal to 25 kW (34 hp), with nominal rotation speed making approximately 2500 rpm.

Use of the motor will make it possible to have a transmission free from complicated hi-tech assemblies requiring lengthy workout (main reduction gear, swash plate assembly), which entails long operating life of the motor, its better repairability, low noise level, and low infrared signature. Such a motor may find application in small manned and unmanned AC with load-carrying capacity up to 200–300 kg. These can be training aeroplanes, simulators for helicopter piloting training, urban air-taxis, cargo and passenger unmanned multicopters.

Another novelty at the “Aeroelektromash” stand having raised much interest with the visitors was ultralight trainer helicopter VA-115 developed by RotorSchmiede, Germany. VA-115 is based on the coaxial arrangement as well and also belongs to the ultralight class. The machine is intended for training of flight personnel. For driving the rotors, the design of VA-115 implies use of two 34 hp electric motors developed by the “Aeroelektromash” company.
